After my previous image hosting services Imgur stopped being available in the UK and then my alternative, postimages randomly began deleting my images, I decided I needed a more robust setup for hosting my own assets, a solution that would give me control over my own files.

I built this simple static image hosting service within Netlify to hold images for my projects and documentation, presenting the images in an easy to copy into documentation format.

The key lesson I learned here was that Netlify could be used as a CDN for my own assets, immediately removing my need o rely on 3rd party software.
